You can not go wrong with the gooseneck.Many are used for the oilfield where I work.I am a budget racer too, after the storm I bought a 10yr old 47 ft pace here on racing junk, i needed the space. Look into the B&W ball setup.It mounts completly under the bed, ball pulls out just leaving a 2" hole in the bed. The fold down balls wear on the hinge and the ball starts rocking back and forth. Many cosider the hydrolic? leg a luxury, believe me I would have 1 before ac,lol.They do turn sharp backing up, but try not to as it does stress the neck. Last thing, extra height is nice, I hit my head more than once in my upper bedroom. It also provides shade on those hot days.
