NEW RACE CAR...

[img]http://imageshack.us/a/img802/8116/2...03rjgranda.jpg

Thought I'd share a pic of my new car. It's a 2003 Rick Jones Grand Am. Gonna try and run some Top Sportsman races next year. I've got a Sonnys 632 I'm in the process of putting in the car. I'm really excited.

Very nice. RJ builds really nice cars. You should have a fun ride with that. Good luck next year with it.

First...Thanks for all the good comments. The car has all carbon interior, the wiring in it is fantastic. The under side of the car is as clean as the top. And second...yes Bill I'll have it at PRP. I'll take there (hopefully) early next year for some testing.

x2 and Sonny builds some great motors, although he would call a 632 a small block! :)

You're right on the 632 being a small motor. I'm a crew member on an ADRL Extreme Prostock and we run an 830 cubic inch Sonnys motor.

She is gorgeous. I would have an affair with her any day... I hope she makes you more youthful & keeps you safe too.

It's been a long time coming, but I finally got this thing to the track. Went to National Trail Raceway last weekend for the Jegs Sportsnationals. I had never made a 1/4 mile pass before. I made a couple of shake down passes then 3 license passes. Leaving a little on the soft side, on my last license pass, I went 7.449 @ 185.28 MPH. I qualified #24 and made it to the semi finals. It was a great weekend.

Hard work paid off semi final first time out something to be proud of. Sounds like the car is working great.

Beautiful car. Glad for you. Enjoy and stay safe.

dlewy1977 02-06-2015 10:12 AM

Truly digging the look. I have been looking into a used Dodge Challenger New-Gen of course. I was thinking either the 09 or 10 year like the one seen here on romocoinc.com

Looking to find something I can work on and play around with here on the Autobahn CC up here in IL.

Beautiful car!! Always makes you feel better when you have a good weekend at the races.
