If you will kindly GO BACK to the original thread you started about this car then I have left you information on how to find "THE CAR".....And you do not need the law..

EXCURSION 06-27-2007 04:01 AM

I DID GO BACK TO TOUR POSTING, AND FOR PART OF IT HELPFUL, BUT PUTTING AN AD IT THE LOCAL PAPER COULS STILL TAKE FOREVER TO FIND IT.

TO ANSWER THE OTHER QUESTION, WE I SOLD THE CAR, AND WOULD LIKE TO BUY IT BACK.

jbsjunk 06-27-2007 04:04 AM

Taking forever is still better than not finding it at all.

BTW, turn your caps loc off.

EXCURSION 06-27-2007 06:09 AM

WHILE I APPRIECIATE PEOPLE WRITING IN WITH DISCUSSION AND COMMENTS, IF YOU DON'T HAVE A SOLUTION YOUR NOT HELPING. I'M NOT LOOKING FOR HOPE AND DISCUSSION, I POSTED THIS WITH HOPES OF FINDING ANSWERS TO THE PROPBLEM.

THANKS EVERYONE

Excursion,

At the risk of sounding rude these fine people have given you suggestions that you have shot down.

We appreciate you as a member and hope you stay around after you find your car, but we are not a locator service for you.

You can accept the help or not, it is up to you but these guys have practically dropped the answers in your lap.
Do you want us to lead you by the hand to your old car?

The last poster is correct, typing in caps is like your yelling at us.

I suggest you do your own homework if you do not like the answers you are getting.

Try here it costs but it may be your solution...

If you cannot locate it through one of these I do not know what to tell you.

*Looks at the new avi.......* Hey Perry, wanna party?

You bring the bacon.

EXCURSION 06-27-2007 03:11 PM

no one is yelling at anyone i appriciate any help or suggestions i can get, however everyone is giving me suggestions i have mentioned do not work. i was hoping one of our members was a police office, and would be able to run the vin for me. that is the only way to get an address from a vin.

thanks for all your help

davis419b 06-27-2007 03:19 PM

If there were a cop on here i dont think it would be right to ask him to run the vin # for you. He doesnt know anything about you plus i think you would be putting his job at risk for doing it!

bjuice 06-27-2007 03:49 PM

i am EX LAW- ENFORCEMENT...City Police and S.C. State Trooper..

i have been out of the business since 1995...back then we could run whatever vin,tag#,dl#..etc......whith no questions ask...but now keep in mind this was before all the privacy laws took place..DMV could still give out a registered owners name etc....

i would think you could still have it done..you mentioned a family member was a deputy..i would say there was a way he could run the vin# and get by with it..this is just my opinion.

i tell ya what..i still have a few guys i can speak to. i will see what they have to say about all this ..privacy issue's etc....if they can run it without any problems i will have it done for you....i will have to get with the right one i know real good..

thanks Brian

woodsman 06-27-2007 04:07 PM

Brian I know your a smart man and I enjoy reading your post and your advice but I am just asking that you be careful when your helping someone you know nothing about and what his true intensions are I am just saying you never know these days who your talking to.

davis419b 06-27-2007 04:11 PM

" WELL SAID WOODSMAN "

lively 06-27-2007 04:27 PM

LIKE --WHERE IS THIS MAN FROM?WHAT IS HIS NAME?HE COULD RUN AN ADD ON THE CLASSIFIED SITE LOOKING FOR HIS OLD CAR!!--HE COULD RUN AN ADD IN THE BERKLY,IL PAPER OR SOMEWHERE CLOSE!!SOME SEARCHES TAKE TIME[ BJUICE -SOMETHING NEEDS ANSWERED ON THIS BEFORE THAT HELP COMES ALONG/ LIKE ALOT MORE PERSONAL INFO ON THE ONE SEARCHING!?! 8) 8)

woodsman 06-27-2007 05:09 PM

LEO can you tell us if this car was registered when you sold it or was it a all out drag car with no title. Because if thats the case the vin will only show the last registered owner.

EXCURSION 06-27-2007 05:20 PM

the car was registered on the street, under my name, and according to carfax the title was reregistered under the new owner that bought the car in berkley,il. it was a street car that my wife and i showed on the weekends, and ended up short selling it.

thanks
leo
some back ground i live in orland park il. i own a well know business here, and i'm not some crazy person. i'm just trying to buy back a car that never should have been sold.

woodsman 06-27-2007 05:30 PM

Leo hang tight if there ever was a place to get help its here. But like they say Rome was not built in a day. But if you will give Brian the time he can do what he can. And also you can PM Brian your phone # where to get ahold of you so he can cover himself. Just keep the faith and don't play with fire.

bjuice 06-27-2007 05:46 PM

thanks for the feedback guys..i am just gonna run this by one of the guys i know and see what they have to say...after thinking about it ..i understand completely...so Point well taken Guys...

thanks Brian

lotsof454sss 06-27-2007 05:57 PM

Brian I don't think it is worth putting you or anyone elses ass in a sling over...I think there are enough ways to locate it without possible trouble for anyone....I will repeat my suggestion..Get the carfax and that gives you the city and state and then start your search from there...I mean how many of the cars are drag cars in the same city...Once you have a city then we all have a chance to either have a member there or know someone there....This ain't rocket science to find a car in the US...Hell we can side track a school bus, make customers disappear like smoke and all in the purpose of helping someone that has been scammed or looking for a car...so give us the city

LOL...Good Point !!!!

Sorry Leo these guys are making too much sense..i guess there is a good reason for the privacy laws...i wish you luck in locating the car...

i'm out on this one..

Brian

I am sorry you feel that way.

We have offered all the help we know of and yet it isn't enough for you.
You admit that your family member in law enforcement would get into trouble if he pulled some strings so why do you want one of our members to get into trouble?
Your logic is flawed.
Maybe I should fly out, take you by the hand and go walking the streets until we find your car.

To say we are not a helpful group is way off base buddy boy.
Have you asked your track buddies if they know where your car is?

Maybe you think we have a magic 8 ball that will tell us where your old car is.

Again, I am sorry that your having troubles but like I said we have done what we can, accept it or not, that is up to you.
But do not come in here slamming us and expect us to roll over like a whipped pup. It aint gonna happen.

jbsjunk 06-28-2007 01:01 PM

Unlikely to help? Haven't you been reading the posts trying to help? Guess not. We are not going to find your car for you, we did provide several resorces to help in your quest to find your old car. If you can't use these and help yourself, I guess your old car is in better hands where it's at.

BTW, I don't need to yell, and you heard me just fine.

alscoupe 06-28-2007 01:02 PM

Brother;

You've been offered tons of advise, you just choose not to take it. Sounds like your waiting for someone to drive the damn thing up in your driveway with a red bow on it. Lottsa people get pissed when they ask a question and get an answer they don't want to hear. Tells the rest of us alot about the person doin' the asking!

Good Luck, but I'm done with ya.

This loser is a complete waste of time and I wouldn't even read the posts if it weren't so entertaining.I have personally seen you guys help most eveyone that comes along needing assistance or guidance in one form or another. But they had a little respect and patience, unlike "Leo" or whatever his name is,which,by the way,he never has come forth with any detailed info on himself.Oh yeah,I forgot he did mention that he runs a "well known business".What the hell is that about? There must be more than one "well known business"in his area? For someone looking for something,he seems to be making himself pretty hard to find or even figure out.He acts pretty damn shady,if you ask me.

wvhippie 06-28-2007 02:03 PM

Freind you usaually get out what you put in to somthing. I have watched these ol boys dole out a lot of good advice and work some damn near miracles. If I were you I'd just sit back light a fat one and listen awile.
