sp729 This is just my opinion. If you are putting out quality product and doing it in a timely manner. Am I going to be able to hurt someones business by posting something on racing junk true or not. So my suggestion would be go with the first feeling that you got before you asked for a straight answer an that will be your safest bet.

It really sucks what to believe.
He told me to resend the 2000.00 and he would COD the rest when i get my body.
Troy said attorneys are involved over this forum.

i really need a straight answer from somebody that has recieved parts from this guy.

Thanks,Mike

Here is the answer for which you search..I do not work for any fibber-glass company but I do read the scammer section and this is 4 pages long and more than one person says this mans workmanship is terrible and his taking peoples money and not sending the product is great...Before the archives were lost on the site there were more pages of the same complaints.. Take the money and not send the product and tell them anything to keep them off his rear...So if the attorneys didn't read this right I will be glad to tell them in person when served a subpeona...If you want to throw your money away then send the money to him :!: Okay :?:

Sp729, This thread about troy is at least the 2nd one on here. There was an issue with an upgrade here that caused all the posts before a certain date to be lost. The posts on here are the ones since then, plenty of time to clean up his act, IMO.

Racefab57 08-09-2007 05:49 PM

Again I will say Dont buy from this guy! I DONT WORK FOR A FIBERGLASS CO. BUT HAVE 1ST HAND SEEN THE PRODUCT AND ITS TERRIBLE!!! AND I WILL SAY SO IF I TWO HAVE TO GO TO COURT !!!!!!!!!! DAVID.

zipper06 08-09-2007 09:57 PM

Well (sp729),
I live about 125 miles from where Bruis Glassworks is located. I also live 30 miles from Twin Cities Dragway. we have lot's of good cars around here and i ask around, no one uses his product that i talked too.
I've been following this thread since the beginning and haven't said anything because i donot know the person. Howevr i did a google search today and found out that Troy Bobbit is only the marketing manager there and some one by the name of Tee Wilson owns the place.
I'm not in any way taking sides here except to say that if he has peoples money he needs to produce and ship the orders he has before taking other people money. He sounds like a couple of engine builders here, taking peoples money to keep the shop afloat.
I agree with most of the posters here that you could have ended up just another statistic with your money gone and no parts to show for it. I also doubt that the people posting here are working for other glass companys just trying to put him out of business, come on if these people were in the glass works why would they buy from him as he indicated in his phone conversation to you.
I also strongly disagree with an ad that says free shipping and then the order is shipped COD on the shipping cost to the buyer. All of this sounds like he is trully a scammer in my eyes and doesn't deserve to do business with racers like us who work very hard for what we have and what we want to buy to make our cars better.

So SP729 i would say you made the right choice to walk away, also if it would have been me in some of these complaints i would drive the 2 hrs. and we would really have a sit down talk.

Just my .02

Zip.

woodsman 08-09-2007 10:17 PM

I also strongly disagree with an ad that says free shipping and then the order is shipped COD on the shipping cost to the buyer.

I would like to see him change his Ad to ( Free for me to ship it to you ) then we can agree with his Ad.

he said most posters work for other glass places and try to stop his business.
as of this past dec, the people at harwood and VFN we not aware of a bruis glassworks fiber glass!

HOOD FROM HELL

I purchase one of there products from them years ago and it was terrible. It was a hood and on side was about 1 1/2 inches of at the back of the hood and on the other side it was about 2 1/4 off (if I remember correctly) the middle of the hood was sunk in like the laid it down on the floor before the mold set. I run a supercharger and the hood was sunk in so bad that the hood wouldn't close. It was so bad the I couldn't use it at all. Plus the conners of the hood was sitting at about a 90 degree angle up in the air. I contacted troy and of course we went round n round about it but in the end I just gave it away and took it as a bought lesson. THe guy I gave it to tried it and gave it away also (ha ha) I've seen the it recently and i walk up to the guy and "said that my old hood," he said no i got this form a buddy of mine". he told me his name and that was the third owner so that made him the forth. I told him about all the problems the hood had and he started laughing and said yeah this it I had to cut it in the formt and reshape the whole thing and I still can't get if straight. He asked how you knew that this was my old hood I told him to look at the cowl its sunk in about 2 inches lower that a normal hood . I have several friends that race with me and after that we decide to do a group order to harwood. It's sad to say but no one in this area uses their product. ( THat I NO OF)
just my encounter!!!!!!!! harwood and VFN etc. they've been aound for a long time
p.s. I'm form LA.

Lawyer, Sue your customers? lmao, you can't just chit in cakes you bake and sale, then expect everyone to just live with it.
Sad gamble for us is with the sort of buisness ethnics Troy has He isn't worth a class action law suit. I could care less for some swamp land.
I've been in buisness for 15 years and to my knowledge have never had a wrongful buisness complaint filed against me.
Sure, there are some people who can not be satisfied. I happen not to be one of those. A fair shake! That's It

I have never publicly slammed, belittled, or degraded you in any way, we are above that.I again challenge you, show me with a marker where it's warped, twisted or whatever. We looked at the mold again tonight and it's not twisted, warped or anything like you make it out to be. I hope that one of my competitors will make you happy and you can get along with your life. Oh yeah, I am sending you a Christmas present it should arrive in the mail by Christmas, I sat back and thought of the one gift that I could get you that you could really use, I hope you enjoy it and you learn something from it.
Mr. Parrish you are going to do whatever you can to hurt my business reputation, of this I am sure. In life you will find that what comes around goes around, karma is the cruelest evil of all. We do alot for drag racers families that have lost their lives in pursuit of this sport. We donate bodies(Jr. Dragster) to several different groups that help give underpriveleged children the opportunity to experience the thrill of racing as long as they keep their grades up in school and stay out of trouble. We help young racers out and help them get started in this sport by donating some fiberglass parts. We are good people trying hard to make it in this business and I'm sure that overcoming the BS that you have stirred up is going to take a while but it will be overcome, like I said before alot of the people that know you personally have told me that you are an a$$ and they'd have never done what we done for you. I defended you to them and told them that I felt that you're just disgruntled and it'll pass and they insist that you're just a prick and that's how you are. I disagree with them, I believe that you're basically a good person that is just unhappy with what you've recieved from us, we've gone as far as we're going to go with this. If you ever need some help give us a call and I'll do what I can for you. I, nor our business is a "joke" but your opinion is your opinion (BTW, you spell opinion -- o-p-i-n-i-o-n NOT onion) reading your email gives me a headache, you need to learn how to spell. I can forgive and understand grammatical errors, heck everybody does that, but your spelling needs some help. We will go on and continue to be successful in this business and hopefully our paths will cross someday and I can look you in the eye and shake your hand and tell you congratulations in person on your drag racing achievements. We wish you well and continued success.

Bruis Glassworks

Doing business with Bruis Glassworks has been an experience. The contact person Troy, was very eager to please and quite a likeable guy. However, when it comes to actually receiving merchandise from this company, Troy has avoided phone calls, refused to call back after numerous attempts to contact him or someone else in the company. I checked with the Better Business Bureau (after the fact) and was shocked to discover that Bruis Glassworks has 5 unresolved complaints. Four of the five complaints are the exact same issue that I have experienced with Bruis. When I was able to actually speak to Troy, I asked about the record with the BBB, his statement to me was that these issues HAD been resolved with the customers in question, however he did not have the time to make the BBB aware of the now satisfied customers. As a company, I can not in good conscious recommend Bruis Glassworks to any of our customers, due to the experience we have had. Bruis Glassworks has had our order since October of 2006. The company has also had our money since then as well. Part of what we ordered finally arrived in late Feb. 2007- we are still missing parts. Mr. Bruis Glassworks (Troy) has personally assured me (when I was able to actually speak to him after dozens of attempts) that the parts I need are going to be shipped out the following day. It is now the middle of Aug. 2007- Bruis Glassworks has had our money almost a year, we still do not have the total order. I will say in the defense of Bruis Glassworks, that the product we have received thus far, has been extremely satisfactory, based solely on the product, I would love to recommend this company to our clients...nevertheless, the company has yet to follow through, therefore, We cannot support this type of business practice.

upperlefthand 08-16-2007 08:54 AM

Good ol Troy

Just to let you know.... I received a phone call this morning about 6 min. after posting the above...Troy assured me that my shipment was sitting on the dock ready to be picked up by UPS. He asked that I remove my post. I advised Troy, that I would gladly sing the praises of Bruis Glassworks just as soon as I had my shipment at my door. About an hour ago, I recieved yet another phone call, Troy again called to give me the UPS tracking number. He advised me that he had driven an hour to get my shipment to UPS, so that it would leave today. I followed up with UPS, and sure enough, my shipment is in transit. I would like to thank Troy for the follow-up. That is all I can ask for as a customer. Honest business practices require communication between the business and the client. Hopefully, Bruis Glassworks, and Troy, will remember that most customers just want to be made aware of the statis of their order. I hope that Bruis Glassworks has a successful future, I am not here to slam anyone, just to inform people so that they can make an educated decision. Hopefully, I will be just as pleased with the shipment as I am with the follow through that Troy has finally provided!

abad70ss 08-16-2007 08:48 PM

just recived my front end from bruis crapworks it is a total piece of shit it was packaged by a blind man (it only had half a crate and it was held in the crate by plastic wrapping)., it is broken in four places looks like it has been sitting in a field has spiderwebs and dirt all over it has lots of bondo on on it it is part white, part gray, part bondo the hood has no rolled edges it is heavy and very flimsy its going to look good going in the trash dumpster.... :( : :( :([/img]

bjuice 08-16-2007 10:00 PM

i would like to c a pic of that...my curiosity is killing me.

thanks brian

flipper59 08-17-2007 08:26 AM

The Cowl Hood we bought had two "big" low spots in it on the driver's side.
Had a hog nose on the front where the cowl was mounted to far front ward. They didn't even put forth the effort of removing it. There is a picture already posted under this topic. I often wondered if this was the Christmas present Troy mentioned He was sending me

Here was Troy's words on this subject in a prior e-mail conversation.

"I could make you a new frontend and hood to match (I'll check this one myself for correctness and it being straight and true)Best Wishes, Troy Bobbit"
The second front end was worst that the first one He sent us. I gave it away!!
The Hood was worst than the first one although it did fit after the adding of 2" with

But it's all my fault b-c we can't be satisfied. All we wanted was what we paid for. I quess reality wise we got did get what we paid for. Junk is only a bill, cheaper!!

Well fellas, I told ya I'd be singing the praises.... Bruis Glassworks came through for us! Yes, It was a lenghthy wait for the product, but we are extremely pleased with what we have received. I hate it for you guys that have not had such good luck. I would have to advise someone considering Bruis glassworks to be extremely patient, the quality of work has been for us, well worth the wait! Would purchase from Bruis glassworks again if I was not in a hurry. I sure hope Troy recognizes the value of communicating realistic timelines with future customers. I also hope that Bruis' futuer customers realize that life is not always perfect, and sometimes you have to work it a little. Can't please all the people all the time!

iluvmypontiac 08-24-2007 07:15 PM

i too was scammed by bruis

I bought a fiberglass front bumper from these jerks way back in june and after two months of them telling me "we'll send it out today, we'll send it out by the end of this week, we sent it out on this day I'll call you back with the tracking number" and any other lie they can think of, after waiting and waiting My dad/mom calls them and blows up on them. So they call me and tell me that "the mold broke so we are going to send you back your money"

well that was around Aug. 1st I was nice and called like every three days waiting for my check and the sec. would say things like I've just been authorized to send it, I'll send it out today, I sent it, whats your address so i can check with some blaa bla bla place, and other stuff like that. After almost a month i call and the Sec. says you have to talk to troy (wich i've never done) heres his Cell good luck getting ahold of him. And that he owes other dissatisfied costumers more money than you.

Shes basically implying to just give it up.

I'm soo PO 200 my not be alot to them but it is to me. Dosent matter how much, its still so fu<king shady.

DONT ORDER FROM THEM THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!!!!
